Maipo Valley Wine Region

Exploring Chile 🇨🇱. Maipo Valley is the closet wine region to Santiago. This might be a good region to start your wine travels if staying in Santiago. According to internet searches this region is the birthplace of the Chilean wine industry. The Maipo Valley is generally divided in three sub-regions: Alto Maipo, Central Maipo, and Pacific Maipo.

We didn't have time to visit everywhere but dipped our toes so to speak into the wine regions of Chile. There is so much to explore so if you are planning a short visit we will share in another blog suggestions on regions and wineries you might like to visit.
